Officially, 42Fish was founded on April 1, 2004.
In hindsight, April Fool's Day might not have
been the smartest day
to start a business, but we figure the joke
is on all those guys who
said we wouldn't make it.
That answers the question of when 42Fish was
started. But why was
42Fish started?
Well, the founders (Brad and Jed) had a mutual
friend who suggested
Brad and Jed might be able to help each other
out.
At the time, both of them were running independent
one-man shops.
Brad was handling all the writing at his place
and farming out the
design work. Jed was taking care of most
of the design at his place,
but needed someone to help with the
writing.
So, they met for bagels one morning, Brad introduced
Jed to jalapeno
cream cheese, and the rest is happening right
now.
